Renters at Tims Ford Boat Co. are required to be a minimum of 21 years of age and possess a valid driver's license along with a boating license accredited by the National Association of State Boating Law Administrators (NASBLA). Adherence to our rental agreement terms and conditions is also mandatory.

Any Tennessee resident born after January 1, 1989, is required to pass a Boating Safety Exam. Upon completion of the exam, students will receive a TWRA-issued Boating Safety Certification of Completion wallet card.  Boaters must have this card on their person while operating any vessel in Tennessee.  The Boating Safety Certification of Completion is not required if there is an adult (18 years old or older, born before January 1, 1989) on board to take immediate control of the vessel.   

Yes, each boat has a maximum capacity for safety reasons. Please refer to the boat descriptions on our website for more information on capacity.

We always put your safety first, so please keep a close eye on weather conditions during your rental. If the weather looks bad, we might be able to offer you a reschedule or credit for a future rental, depending on the situation. Since our rentals are for multiple days, it's pretty unlikely that bad weather will ruin your entire trip!

Absolutely! As long as the Host of the rental approves and has a functioning and safe dock to dock the boat overnight. In the case you are not renting a lake house with a dock you can take it back to the marina once your day of boating is finished and retrieve the next day.

We have a zero-tolerance policy for alcohol and drug use on our boats. If we suspect that you are under the influence, we reserve the right to cancel your rental and refuse service.

Absolutely! We can charter you arond the lake and take you to best spots for fun! We also offer wake surfing lessons and equipment so once you learn the sport you can take off on your own and enjoy!

If the boat is kept at a rental we will pick the boat up that morning around the time of your checkout time 9am-10am, if the boat is not kept at a rental the boat must be returned to its slip at the marina by 9am-10am. This insures us enough time to clean the boat and get it prepped for the next renter.

There will be equipment walk through before boat is taken out on the water. The renter is responsible for any new damage when the boat is returned.  

Sadly at the moment we do not allow pets on our boats but soon we will have some pet friendly boating options! 

Yes, we require a 2 night minimum especially in peak summer season but contact us and if there is availability we can try our best to accommodate you!

Yes, we require a security deposit for fuel /cleaning fee / damages. The fee varies depending on the boat selection. The fee will be addressed in the booking section of your rental. 

Yes, smoking is prohibited on the boats.
